The Big SASIG conference is our next big offering for 2021, see how it’s different from other virtual conferences…
An event for the delegates

Big SASIG will be a new way of doing conferences: we put the delegates first. This is a real learning experience from experts and partners, who explain current risks, strategies, and real-life case studies.
This is a bespoke and exclusive event:
- Big SASIG delegates will be primarily CIOs, CISOs and their staff, together with professionals from other disciplines (risk, HR, legal and supply, for example); representatives from government, law enforcement and academia; and new recruits into our industry.
- Partners are selected based on reputation (global as well as start-ups).
- Content is designed by a committee of very senior cybersecurity thought leaders, ensuring the programme is thought-provoking and designed to build long-term relationships.
- Big SASIG preserves The SASIG’s unique ethos and reputation through The SASIG CISO Safe Space Charter.
Martin Smith MBE, Chairman and Founder of The SASIG
Big SASIG is a combination of keynotes, conference streams, exhibitions, partner workshops, one-to-one introductions, and networking opportunities. We are actively encouraging new start-ups to exhibit and present, and new talent to attend. In addition, recognising the challenges of these strange times there will be a personal resilience and wellness stream.
Platform

This is not your standard Zoom or Microsoft Teams conference. The Big SASIG platform is built to ensure maximum engagement.
‘Stages’ will be used to present and host live sessions across multiple different cybersecurity and risk management themes. Virtual booths will allow attendees to watch pre-recorded videos, download literature, book meetings (before and after the event) and watch presentations they may have missed.
Speakers

As well as security and cyber thought leaders from many industries, speakers will include high-ranking members of UK Government bodies, professional services and academia.
In addition to keynote presentations, conference streams and networking opportunities, CISOs and their teams will be able to visit the conference exhibition, attend partner workshops, and select their personalised programme of one-to-one Partner introductions. Delegates will learn about suppliers, establish new connections, and reinforce relationships with existing partners via the virtual conference platform.
Big SASIG is being developed under the guidance and direction of CISOs and industry experts in a steering committee chaired by Mark Walmsley, CISO at Freshfields.
